MoBoleez Nursing Bonnets Review

November 10th, 2009 | 3 Comments | Filed in product reviews

I recently reviewed the MoBoleez nursing bonnet. I LOVE IT! I was sent the black and white Elegance Style bonnet. It is beautiful and fits my 4 1/2 month old daughter’s little head so well. These bonnets are a new style of nursing cover. While they don’t cover every bit of mommy’s body like a traditional nursing cover, they do cover your breast and baby’s head. I was actually in shock because to look at them, they seem tiny but they’re really a wonderful size and they work! And you really don’t even realize that the mommy is breastfeeding a baby. It just looks like she’s holding a baby in a cute hat! This is such a wonderful little invention. (Can you tell I like it?) The MoBoleez nursing bonnet keeps baby from distracting noises by covering baby’s ears and shielding his/her face from anything other than mommy. AWESOME! My baby is a MAJOR wiggle-worm when nursing but the nursing bonnet actually seemed to calm her. We had a very successful nursing session. PLUS they keep the sun off baby which is an added bonus! Baby K wears her super stylish bonnet all the time. It’s too pretty! And the packaging is darling. It arrived in a cute little round plastic, zippered bag.

Here is a little info directly from Diane Sam’s press kit:

Introducing “MoBoleez” – the world’s first breastfeeding hat!
What’s a breastfeeding hat?
A breastfeeding hat is based on a simple, fun idea. The idea? Design a hat just for the breastfeeding baby, with a tiny little head and great big brim. The wide brim offers a
little privacy for mom, and cuts out distractions for baby. The fun? Super soft, all natural fabrics, baby-friendly colours, and delightful illustrations for the top of the head (visible when breastfeeding of course!) And, when moms lift up the brim,
there’s a little message from baby!
Beautifully made, eco-friendly, and cute as a button, MoBoleez represents a brand new product category for retailers.
What’s MoBoleez?
MoBoleez , “Modern Bonnets for Breastfeeding Babes”, is a Canadian company founded in 2006 by Diane
Sam, a nursing, working mother of two. MoBoleez is a baby products company focused on supporting and
celebrating the breastfeeding mum. MoBoleez recently launched their breastfeeding hats across North America.
Who’s Diane Sam, and how did MoBoleez start?
Diane Sam, Owner and Founder, is a working mother to two sons, Elijah (3) and James (1). A graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.Sc) and Trinity Western University (MA) in Psychology, she has been an entrepreneur for 15 years, in the area of technology and small business consulting.

Never quite happy in the corporate world, Diane has been a passionate supporter of small business as a means to achieve financial and personal freedom, and make a difference in the world. After having two babies in just over two years, she was looking for a way to combine her passion for motherhood with her love of business.

Ok, ok since my photography is so bad, I’ll show you a press kit photo so you can see how beautiful it really is!

This is a very cute idea. I have never seen a hat for this purpose before. I have to shyly admit that when I first read the title Nursing Hat Review my first thought was “A Hat For Nurses” Many moons ago we nurses wore hats. I thought maybe the trend was starting again. LOL. I am glad the hat was for baby and not for nurses to wear again.

Very cute idea to feed baby and remain covered.
