Today is mine and Hubby’s 13th wedding anniversary! We starting ‘dating’ at the tender age of 14 and were married in 1996. Highschool sweeties! :0) WOW! That’s a grand total of 18 wonderful years!!! Ok, so they weren’t all wonderful as newlyweds have struggles. But heck, all couples have struggles so I’d say it’s been pretty darn good!

We had a southwestern theme to our wedding… in case you can’t tell by the cowboy hats hehehe. The colors were burgundy and black and of course white and everything was soooo pretty! My sickly lil mommy worked her butt off to give this ,then 19 year old, girl the wedding of my dreams and boy did she. I think our wedding only cost a little over $1100. Seriously. But since it was a southwest theme and we were country folk, we had pretty much all the decor we needed. I ordered my dress, hat and boots from a catalog and we rented Hubby’s tux jacket. All the wedding party wore white button down shirts and black jeans and boots and my mom made bolero ties. the plan was to french braid all the girl’s hair but time got away from me and so that didn’t get done. Oh well, they were all beautiful! My mom-in-law ordered the flowers, my grandmother ordered the invitations, mom and I paid for the cake and we were good to go! I walked down the aisle to “My Only Love” by The Statler Brothers and I sang ‘I Do’ by Paul Brandt as my vows to Clay, and just knew I was going to pass out from nerves, lol. But I made it threw it, screaching out a few notes here and there. (I hope no one noticed). He says he had vows for me too but after I sang, he was too choked up to say them. WOW! I must be good… or really, really bad because he was all choked up and the entire audience was in tears. (was it that bad???… probably) Anyway, that’s my wedding. It sure doesn’t seem like 13 whole years have gone by but here we are 13 years + 4 beautiful kiddies later! Here’s some pictures for ya.
