My little helper and I love cooking together. We enjoy the time spent together in the kitchen, preparing treats & goodies for the family. It helps us bond as mother and child. Plus, cooking together prepares my children for their adulthood, when they’ll have to fend for themselves. But sometimes, they have a hard time wielding adult-sized cooking utensils. In Bryny-Girls case, they are too large for her hands and most of our cooking spoons are long, making it hard for her to stir up a batch of cookies, brownies, etc. So she is sometimes limited in what she can help out with.
Playful Chef is a wonderful product designed for kids in the kitchen! It features child-sized utensils like a wooden spoon, stainless steel whisk and silicone pastry brush, etc., measuring spoons and cups that are color coded, wonderful kid-friendly recipe cards, cookie cutters and of course the perfect sized apron with plenty of pockets to carry all the cooking gear in!

We received for review, the Playful Chef Bakers Set w/Red Apron. My daughter and I set out on a brownie making journey and had a ball! She measured, stirred and whisked. I baked. She and I both used the cookie cutters to create darling shaped brownies. Then my little chef grabbed the cart to her tea set and served us up a delicious batch of brownies. We ALL enjoyed!
Today, we will be creating a recipe directly from the included recipe cards. (As soon as Little Chef makes up her mind which one!
) Not only do the measuring utensils have standard measurements imprinted on them, but the recipe cards are color coded along with the measuring cups & spoons. So if a recipe on the card calls for one tablespoon, there is a dot beside it in the same color as the band on the spoon! AWESOME!
I sort of wish the polyester apron was made of fabric like our linen ones but that’s not really an issue, just my little quirkiness… just so you know.
So in conclusion – Mom’s (and Dad’s), if you love to cook with your children, in my opinion this is a must-have set!

Great product to look into, I think my daughter would love that, as she loves to help me cook. By the way, she is 10 and makes an awesome meatloaf.
