This little muffin finally has her first tooth! Of course, she wouldn’t pose for a tooth shot so we had to just go with her snow hat pic. Cute, if I do say so myself!

She is nearly 9 months old and I was beginning to wonder if there were any teeth in there! My oldest child was 10 months old when he cut his first tooth but you could see they were there. And the other girls cut their teeth fairly early. Like 5 months-ish.

Baby Ducky, on the other hand, didn’t really look like any were coming in, so we were really beginning to wonder. Although she cried and chewed and drooled, and all that miserable good stuff for months and months, we couldn’t feel or see anything until this past weekend. Family came over to cook-out and play cards and she cried the entire day/night. So I figured it was just a matter of days. Thank God for Baby Orajel, cold wash cloth’s and the like!

She really did a great job. Even though fussy, I have seen much worse. I’m so proud of her. It’s funny how one little tooth can cause so much pride in parent’s. hehehe

WOO HOO HOO!!!! I just had to share!

p.s. She is a breastfed baby. Oh. My. Good. Lord. Enough said.

If you ever been in the presence of a gal in the Red Hat Society, you most certainly never forgot about it. These women have a presence about them like no other. Sassiness and Sauciness combine with an outpouring of good deeds and ladylike manners.

Yesterday, while at the local Wally-World, I heard my 3 year old daughter gasp with glee. She said “Mommy look at that! She is soooooo pretty!”

There, sitting on a bench, was a lady ‘of age’ decked out in her beautiful red hat, purple feather boa and red overcoat. I’m certain she had a glorious red dress underneath. I didn’t get a look at her shoes but I can assure you they were either red or purple. She was absolutely stunning and caught the eye of everyone. Was is flashy? Yes. Was it trashy? Absolutely not! She was beautiful and my daughter loved it!

She said “Oh mommy, I’m gonna dress like that when I grow up!” I said “you are?” and just smiled a secret little smile, knowing full-well that this particular child has the sass,  class and determination to pull it off. Just like the Lady in the Red Hat sitting on the bench.

Should I let my daughter know there is a Pink Hat Society for gals of the younger sect?

And, I couldn’t begin to tell you what they got from their grandparents. No inkling! I can tell you that there was a mass of wrapping paper flying through the air, very much resembling a paper blizzard and that I lost count at Barbie princess #8. Oh yes, there were more! One box alone had 6 in it just for Bryn!!!

4 kiddies + lot’s of toy’s = one heck of a messy house and lot’s and lot’s of bickering over what belongs to who – therefore getting on my nerve. (notice I said nerve and not nerves – that’s because I have only one left and they’re getting on it!) AHHHHH! Somewhere in all that I managed to misplace what little mind I had left and turn into a blubbering bubble-head. And they STILL have a week of Christmas vacation left. will I have any mind or nerve left come next week???

Oh well, it’s Christmas time and they’ve had a tough year and I do so love my babies.  I guess mommy can suck it up and cope.maybe.I.hope
