They were all delicious but I think my absolute favorites are the Jumbo Reduced Fat Blueberry Vanilla Cinnamon Buns. Something about the blueberry just makes them so mouth watering. My hubby really liked these too. My 3 year old daughter had to have the pink frosted one and she gobbled it right up. In order to sample all the flavors, it was a major battle with my children, so I had to hide a few and try them while they were at school!

Shipping Costs-
The biggest issue that many of you will write us about, I am sure is shipping costs to some of the farthest west states where we must use express 2 day shipping. Let me touch on this for a second. As our volume has increased so much, our shipper has provided us a very generous discount and we pass this along to you. As you know it is costly to send a large package of frozen food across the country. Yes 18 donuts which is our 3 box minimum is considered to be large by weight in its Styrofoam insulated cooler, and packed with dry ice it does have substantial weight when it leaves our facility. If you were to look at the base rate for this its a mind boggling $54.47 just for shipping yet we charge you only $38 – $40 for this. We do our best to keep these costs down and are always negotiating with our suppliers for a better deal for you, our fans and loyal customers. Let me take this one step further.

Just yesterday I “googled” a similar product here on the east coast. It was mail order ice cream, shipped in a similar way. A $45 assortment of ice cream shipped from NY to Menlo Park, California totaled $177 when shipping was added! The shipping cost was more than double the product cost alone!

So there you have it folks, a great tasting doughnut that is better for you than traditional doughnuts without sacrificing taste or quality!

My youngest child (8 months) has never shown the slightest interest in any sort of baby bottle. We haven’t traveled this go around and there just hadn’t been a need to supplement. Making your own soda at home can be fun and tasty. It takes up less space than traditional cans of soda, it is environment friendlier and it is just plain fun!  Sodastream USA sent me one of their Fountain Jet (starting @ $99.95) soda makers in black along with a big box full of soda-making  goodies to test and review.

There were so many flavored syrups and essences, I haven’t had the chance to test each one just yet. But I can tell you that the ones we’ve sampled so far are actually quite yummy! My kid’s went ga-ga over the grape flavor and the Lemon-Lime was really good. It had somewhat of a diet flavor.

All SodaStream regular sodamix uses a mixture of Splenda® and sugar. Diet flavors are sugar-free,  sweetened with Splenda® brand sweetener.

There are a whole host of Sodamix flavors to choose from., including Cherry Cola, Cola, Creme Soda, Fountain Mist, Ginger Ale,  Energy Drink, Lemon Iced Tea… and the list goes on and on. Plus they are availble in regular and diet. If you don’t like flavored soda, try Sparkling water! You can make it as fizzy and as sweet as you like. It is so neat.

I admit, I was a bit timid when I opened the box and realized I had to use a CO2 tank. But how else did I expect to carbonate the water? Never fear. It was simple and fun to use. There are no batteries and it does not require electricity. You just insert the CO2 tank into the back, screw on the bottle of cold water to the front and press the pump button several times until you hear a very loud buzz. Press it until you hear a total of 3 buzzes for the best carbonation.  When you push the lever to tilt the bottle back for removal, you may here a few seconds of hissing as it releases a little pressure. As soon as it stops, unscrew your bottle of newly carbonated water, add your Sodamix flavor of choice or essence, cap, shake, then enjoy! YUMMY! (Instructions for other styles may vary.)

We will be using our Fountain Jet A LOT! I love it and my kids love it.

10 year old boys LOVE Transformers! At least my 10 year old boy does. After seeing the movie, that was all he talked about. Let me put the emphasis here – ALL. HE. TALKED. ABOUT! For WEEKS!

So when Hasbro offered to send him a BumbleBee Autobot Transformer as a gift for his Big 10 Birthday Bash, I knew he would be thrilled. The fully transformable action figure is about 6 inches tall and is for ages 5+. It DOES contain small parts so keep them away from the little children. Our son’s Transformer is the level 3 advanced conversion and the action figures are available in levels 1-4. It has just the right amount of difficulty for a 10 year old boy to ‘transform’ and he loves it!

Hasbro has such an enormous line of toys for boys and girls. Items like Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, Baby Alive,  and PLAYSKOOL offerings, will be a hit at any childs birthday.  There is no way I could possibly list them all in one blog post.
